Would you let a stranger into your kid's bedroom to read their diary? No? But when your kid blogs, then anybody on the Internet can spy on what they're writing?

Blogging is short for web log and basically it is an Internet diary . It's a great way to encourage kids to write and they love it, but there are some things you need to be careful about?

  • Don't let them put anything up that could reveal their identity.
  • Always remind your child that anyone can see what they are posting. Anyone can print out what they have posted and keep it.
  • Check out the blogging service your child is using and make sure that it offers private, protected password blogs.
  • Make sure you know the web address of your child's blog and spot check the contents.
