Protecting Your Family

Safe Fun > Gaming

Do you know what online games your children are playing? Do you know who they are playing with?

Safety Tips:

  • Always put your PC in a living area and from the start, set time limits for game playing. Tell your child to play only with their real friends and not ones they only know online.
  • Tell your child to let you know if anything online is making them uncomfortable. Don't forget bullying happens online too.
  • Remind them never to give out any personal information online. If someone wants to meet them, they must inform you at once.
  • Don't allow your children to use voice chat ? you don't know who is talking to them.
  • If they are being bullied or ripped off, tell them to inform you and other gamers.
  • Get into their world and play the games with them. If you are an experienced gamer yourself, then help to police the games areas and keep them safe.

But it's not just games. Kids like to blog these days?
