To fight spyware, you've got to know where it comes from. You could be surprised!
Most spyware can be picked up simply by browsing the Internet, and you can get spyware through downloading or installing software that has a virus. Your children can also accidentally download spyware by file sharing or downloading software like music, games or free pop-ups. Get your children to ask permission before they download!

Web browser: A programme that allows you to find, view, hear and interact with material on the web e.g. Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Privacy statement: Description of the personal information collected by the site, how this will be used, with whom it will be shared and whether or not you can control how it is being used.
Anti Virus: Software that spots and removes computer viruses.
