If you use your computer to go online, but don't have anti-virus software, then the chances are you've got a virus.
Viruses are easy to catch, but not so easy to get rid of. You'll need help. Some viruses are designed to reinstall themselves even after they have been removed. You can only permanently remove and prevent viruses by installing anti-virus software. You must regularly update the software and scan your system afterwards.
- If you are not expecting an email attachment from anyone or you don't recognise the sender, don't open it.
- If your computer has already crashed, go to a PC specialist.
Nothing is 100% safe so always back up your files in case your system is attacked and you lose important information. If your software still isn't working, then shop around and change.

Anti Virus: Software that spots and removes computer viruses.
Firewall: Hardware or software programs that keep your files safe by blocking unauthorized access.
