You can back up your information onto a CD-RW, a DVD-RW or an external hard drive. Each type of storage has its own advantages and disadvantages.
CD-RW stands for Compact Disc Read-Write. This means you can store and erase data hundreds of times on one disc. A CD-RW can hold about 700 MB of information. If you use a CD-RW to back up your data, you can use the same disc over and over again.
DVD-RW stands for Digital Video Disc Read-Write. Like a CD-RW, you can store and erase data many times. A DVD-RW can hold several GB of information, which is a lot more than a CD-RW.
External hard drives come in many different sizes. The smallest in size are usually about 20 GB. This should be enough room to store all your documents, video clips and photographs.
